Partnerships

TSMC is both a customer and partner of Lorentz. TSMC’s multiple global locations are currently deploying the PeakView™ platform to meet their design and verification needs.

“TSMC has expanded its use of PeakView during new RF process development to deliver silicon accurate RF IP before the matching PDKs are complete. PeakView™ allows TSMC to deliver IP in parallel with the process development significantly shortening TSMC’s overall time to delivery.”

PeakView’s unparalleled capabilities, accuracy and performance reduce the time to develop RF IPs and accelerates TSMC’s time to market new processes.

Over the years, Lorentz has participated in TSMC’s EM accuracy qualification programs including iRCX qualification, RF RDK versions 2.0 and 3.0, and joint test-chip manufacture programs to demonstrate the added advantages that PeakView™ brings to the TSMC’s design ecosystem.

Intel offers world-class wafer foundry services (IFS). Its goal is to help customers build the future of silicon, and driving global leadership with manufacturing site investments around the world, differentiated process technologies, and a robust partner ecosystem.

IFS collaborate with Lorentz to release EM models and Technology Profiles, which enable customers to download and deploy in their RF design projects.

Samsung collaborates with Lorentz Solution in multi-year agreement to enable their most advanced process technology nodes to customers to use PeakView EM tool for design quality enhancement.

UMC is a leading global semiconductor foundry that provides advanced technology and manufacturing for applications spanning every major sector of the IC industry, including mixed-signal/RFCMOS and a wide range of specialty technologies.

UMC relies on Peakview and collaborates with Lorentz Solution to enable UMC RF FDK, delivers collateral to customers and enhances design certainty of silicon quality. Customers can use typical Peakview EM design features on UMC FDKs in a rigorous design flow.

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) is one of our foundry partners that use PeakView EM solutions on PBM-based scalable modeling and PDK integration to support their specialty customers. Vanguard is a leading specialty IC foundry service provider. VIS offers a wide range of process technologies, including High Voltage, Ultra High Voltage, Bipolar CMOS DMOS (BCD), Discrete, SOI (Silicon on Insulator), Logic, Mixed-Signal, Analog, High Precision Analog, and Embedded Memory to further help increase its foundry customers’ global competitiveness.

Cadence Design Systems, Inc., is one of our chief collaborators for promoting open industry standards in EDA tool development. In 2011, Lorentz Solution, Inc. entered into a joint marketing agreement (JMA) with Cadence Design Systems, to provide more closely integrated solutions for RFIC and high speed analog design. The focus of this agreement is a close-knit flow integration, accurate modeling, higher capacity to run co-simulation between circuit and EM simulators, greater silicon realization predictability, better design productivity and overall improved performance of high-speed and RF circuits.

“Cadence and Lorentz successfully work with the top foundries and leading semiconductor companies, delivering advanced RFIC design for communications, wireless and handset applications. One of the foundational pieces of the EDA360 vision is the need for greater cooperation among technology companies to tackle the growing challenges and complexities of chip, SoC and system design. With this new agreement, we are extending our collaboration with Lorentz for the benefit of our mutual customers.” — David Desharnais, Group Director of Product Management, Cadence.
